parenting groups

what to expect

All groups go for 3 hours and are run by a Registered Nurse with post-graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health.
This includes an education session and time to meet other parents. We understand that getting ready with a baby is unpredictable so we allow some time before the ‘official’ session starts for you to arrive and settle in.

  • Questions are encouraged.

  • An exercise mat may be provided for you to sit on with your baby or we may ask you to bring your own. There is plenty of room for your baby to play with some toys on the mat.

  • There is access to a kitchen if you need to heat up a bottle and we can help you get comfortable if you need to breastfeed.

  • The venues all have different room sizes so if you are able to leave your pram in the car please do so. We do understand that your baby won’t sleep to our timetable so if you need your pram for your baby to sleep in we can make it work.

  • If you are unable to attend a session face to face, all groups are live on Zoom so you don’t miss out. You will need to download the Zoom app before the start of your group.

  • An eBook/pdf will be emailed to you before the course starts and that will include all the information from the session as well as some tips and resources.

  • If you are hosting a group a travel fee of $50 will apply if you are further than 25km from Bridgewater.

To ensure we are Covid-19 safe all staff meet the current Covid requirements as outlined by SA Health. Please read the FAQ “Refunds and Cancellations” for further information on our Covid Cancellation policy
